Wall Street Journal doling out hockey awards and complete ignorance all at once!

Clearly, all our complaints about college hockey not getting enough coverage were in vain; the Wall Street Journal is now covering the game!

Well, for a couple weeks over the past three months, anyway. Darren Everson and Hannah Karp traveled to college hockey venues all over our great land (it's safe to say they passed on Alabama-Huntsville and Alaska) to determine what the best places to watch a hockey game, cry at a hockey game and just plain be spoiled at a hockey game were.

And they got it mostly right. Matthews Arena was voted as most historic - which just means it's the oldest, really.  Alfond was given the "best atmosphere" award. Which is remarkable, because everyone knows that BC is the best place to take in a college hockey game. Obviously.

And then the Whit was given the "best ice" award.

I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with this, but I have a feeling that Gustav Nyquist might have a few words on the matter...
