Despite a 3-2 loss to Brown, Yale retained its number one spot in USCHO’s rankings, with North Dakota holding pat at number 2. Each of the top four teams in the rankings lost last weekend; NoDak fell at Minnesota, BC lost at Maine and UNH lost against Dartmouth.
BC held its number three ranking, while UNH dropped to seven because everyone knows the ECAC doesn’t have any quality hockey teams. On the heels of its 4-1 thumping of the Eagles, Maine rose to tenth.
Merrimack, coming off a two-win weekend in Nashville when they upended 2-19 Alabama-Huntsville by a combined total of 12-4, jumped up to number 13 and BU jumped one spot to 15 after defeating Harvard 5-2.
Denver crept back into the top five, taking UNH vacated fourth spot, while Minnesota-Duluth dropped to 5.
