Yale, Boston College, Minnesota-Duluth and North Dakota are the current number one seeds in the NCAA tournament, and four Hockey East squads (BU and Merrimack join UNH and Boston College) make the field of sixteen, making the conference second only to the WCHA (5) in number of entrants.
