Weekly Honors

This week's Pro Ambitious Player of the Week goes (unsurprisingly) to BC F Cam Atkinson after notching three goals (one of them being a shorthanded goal) and four points during this weekend's sweep over UNH to bring BC the Hockey East Regular Season Championship title. At the end of the weekend, Atkinson totaled six shots on goal and a +3 rating.

Merrimack's Mike Collins and Northeastern's Clay Witt are this week's Pro Ambitions Co-Rookies of the Week. Collins totaled five points over the weekend during the weekend's split against Providence. On Friday, he made three assists while on Saturday he had one goal on the powerplay and an assist. Back in Boston, Witt stopped an incredible 41 shots (new career-high) over the weekend for his third start and second victory on Saturday against UMass Lowell.

UMass Amherst's Paul Dainton is this week's Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week after stopping a whopping 68 saves during the weekend series against Maine. On Saturday he stopped 32 shots for a 4-4 tie, which pushed Amherst into a spot for the playoffs, while on Saturday he stopped 21 shots in the second period alone.
