You knew this day was coming.
No, not that day. This day.
While it's been a great year for Hockey East, which currently boasts four of USCHO's top nine teams, it hasn't been such smooth sailing in the HE blogosphere, which has blown out more than a few tires since the dawning of the 2009-10 season.
Fortunately for those of us who can't brave a New England winter without alcohol and hockey, this hasn't gone anywhere.
But fear not, New Englanders. Your need for all things hard rubber, sharp metal and carefully smithed wood will not go unfulfilled. Sieves the Day is here to, um, well...Save the Day!
After the jump, more about what's coming in the days ahead...
Whether you're a hardcore Terrier fan (congrats on that number one ranking, by the way!) looking for hard-hitting features on Chris Connolly and David Warsofsky, just a far-removed alum looking for the score of the Merrimack game, an ichthyologist (that's a fish scientist and yes, I had to google it just like you) trying to figure out just which species of fish grew wings at the Whittemore Center or an avid Huskies fan away on co-op looking to keep up with Chris Rawlings and see if he was, in fact, able to shut down Maine's Hobey Baker candidate Gustav Nyquist this weekend, we'll have you covered.
If you're a regular reader of Something's Bruin's Hockey East coverage, you'll notice some familiar names and styles here. Mostly because the same people who write for us write for SB, as well.
If there's anything that you'd like to see us cover, have any questions or are interested in joining our staff, please email us at sievestheday@gmail.com. And while you're at it, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!
As in the past, the present and the days ahead, Thanks for reading. This, we can only hope, is the beginning of a very long, happy journey for everyone. Except Michigan fans. And anyone who roots for the Habs.
